COMPUTATION AND EVOLUTION. THIS IS A VIDEO CONFERENCING COURSE TAUGHT AT MSU OFFERED THROUGH BEACON, AN NSF CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF EVOLUTION IN ACTION (VISIT: HTTP://BEACON- CENTER.ORG/ FOR MORE INFORMATION). THIS COURSE IS MEANT TO DEVELOP COMPUTATIONAL SKILLS FOR THE STUDY OF EVOLUTION.
Catalog Description:
Successful analytical approaches to understanding evolutionary patterns and the processes that generate them, examined by using a wide array of empirical and theoretical tools. Survey of how theory, modeling, and statistics can be applied to observations and experiments in evolutionary biology.
