UW Biology Associate Professor Clemens Cabernard was awarded a Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) from the NIH National Institute of General Medical Sciences, to study the cell and mechanobiology of asymmetric cell division. MIRA funding aims to provide investigators with greater stability and flexibility, thereby enhancing scientific productivity and the chances for important breakthroughs.
