Melanie Cham (Strömberg Lab) and Felipe Garzón-Agudelo (Rico-Guevara Lab) were awarded a Simons Foundation awards. The purpose of these awards is to provide support for students entering U.S.-based Ph.D. programs with a plan to perform research in ecology and evolution.

Sophia Jannetty (Bagheri Lab) was awarded the 2025-26 Washington Space Grant Dissertation Completion Award. The Dissertation Completion Award will provide a one-time fellowship to support doctoral students who are in the final stages of completing their degree and dissertation.

Grace Van Susteren (Riffell Lab) was awarded a Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award (F31). The F31 award enables promising predoctoral students with potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientists, to obtain mentored research training while conducting dissertation research.
