In Episode 6 of the SciPosPod, Biology graduate student Tori Armitage is interviewed! She and Emma chat about research opportunities across different settings, the joys (and challenges) of molecular techniques in mosquitoes, and finding friends in new places.

The SciPosPod is a podcast centered around the humans who study the myriads of biological processes that shape our world, specifically, the humans who are students and faculty in the Biology Department at the University of Washington. We are scientists who study everything from the ways cells move through complex tissues to ancient communities of long-extinct mammals, from the ways plants interact with their surroundings to the ways bats fly and hummingbirds feed. Join us as we plunge into the vast world of biology, sharing our paths to becoming scientists and the lessons we have learned along the way.
