The "Scientess" podcast is hosted by Karen Levy, Professor in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences. The podcast interviews women in science about the joy of science and why women might want to consider a career in science.

In this episode, Caroline and Karen discuss the importance of determination in both science and child rearing, how someone doesn't have to be the loudest person in the room to be a great leader, and the pitter patter she still gets in her chest when discovering a new plant fossil.
