I am a plant systematist who wishes to bridge the fields of conservation, phylogenetics, and ecology to understand the forces driving diversification in island systems. Determining relationships between populations, which environmental or molecular factors influence differentiation, and how various reproductive methods have evolved are central questions in the work I want to pursue.
