Biography
how brain circuits encode, compute and store sensory information and utilize such information to generate a specific behavior.
I am interested in how synaptic plasticity develop in a neural network. Specifically, I like to examine how a neuron's output weight is impacted by the synaptic changes in the same neuron's input synapses. To do so, two synaptically connected cells will be simultaneously recorded in the cerebellar slice preparations, and long-term potentiation or depression (LTP or LTD) will be induced at the presynaptic cell's parallel fiber synapses and the output of this cell onto its target cell will be compared before and after the LTP or LTD induction.
